Subject: Meeting Our Neighbors’ Basic Needs

More than 3,000 local public school students have no place to call home—they live in cars, shelters or on friends’ couches. The impact homelessness has on children and families is devastating.

That’s why United Way of Greater Nashville is partnering to ensure all of our families have a stable place to call home, food to eat and the support they need in times of crisis.

In 2019, because of generous donors just like you:

          • 420 families moved into stable housing through our work to prevent and end family homelessness
          • 45,697 referrals were provided to help people in crisis through United Way’s 211 Helpline
          • 51,417 meals were served to people in need

Because of you, moms like Slyms can provide safe, permanent housing for her and her six-year-old son.

Together, we can meet our neighbors’ basic needs.
