Subject: Building Strong, Healthy Communities

There are too many people in our community who don’t have access to healthy food. Too many families who can’t afford medical care for their children. Senior citizens who can’t buy life-saving medicine. People suffering from chronic illnesses who can’t access the vital support services they need.

That’s why United Way of Greater Nashville is partnering to build strong, healthy communities by helping people access quality health care, assisting those suffering from mental health issues and chronic disease, and bringing people together to make connections.

In 2019, because of generous donors just like you:

          • 15,763 neighbors get connected to a primary health care provider
          • 21,134 individuals avoided the emergency room by working with local providers to meet their basic
             medical needs
          • 2,578 people affected by HIV/AIDS accessed vital support services

Because of you, seniors like Rita are able to maintain their independence and make it to much-needed doctors’ appointments.

Together, we can strengthen our community from the inside out.
