Subject: Breaking the Cycle of Poverty

One fifth of our neighbors are living in poverty. And 30 percent of those are children.

We owe it to our neighbors to provide simple and attainable paths to a brighter future. That’s why United Way is partnering to provide access to free financial counseling services; to offer continuing education and job training; and to help people find their way toward financial independence.

In 2019, because of generous donors just like you:

          • 1,088 people received free financial counseling to help them reduce debt, create a budget and
             build new financial habits
          • 14,700+ tax returns were completed by volunteers bringing $19.8 million in tax refunds back into
             our community
          • 1,459 people completed vocational training to obtain new, higher-paying jobs

Because of you, XXXX.

Together, we can give the next generation a pathway out of poverty.
