At Jackson Financial Inc. (Jackson®), giving back is more than a program—it is a core part of the company’s culture.
As a returning presenting sponsor of the Mary Catherine Strobel Awards, celebrating its 40th year in 2026, Jackson is honored to support an initiative that recognizes dedicated volunteer service and lasting community impact. The values behind the Strobel Awards closely align with Jackson’s longstanding commitment to empowering associates to serve their communities in meaningful, sustainable ways.
Jackson believes that engaging employees in giving back starts with creating opportunities that are personal, flexible, and purpose-driven. Through its employee engagement program, Jackson in Action, associates are encouraged to contribute both their time and professional skills to nonprofit organizations each month.
Associates may also log volunteer hours served independently on projects for causes they are passionate about with eligible nonprofit organizations. To remove barriers to participation, Jackson offers Volunteer Paid Time Off, which associates can use for both company organized and individual volunteer efforts completed during business hours. In addition, the company recognizes volunteer service through its Dollars for Doers program, enabling each associate to earn up to $500 annually to donate to eligible nonprofit organizations of their choice.
A Culture of Service
Jackson’s success in motivating widespread employee participation can be attributed to a deeply embedded culture of service.
Volunteerism is not treated as an extracurricular activity. It is woven into how the organization operates. In recent years, many teams and departments have incorporated volunteer activities directly into business meetings and team gatherings. This approach reinforces service as a shared responsibility and collective experience, while also strengthening team engagement.
Equally important is Jackson’s balanced approach to philanthropy.
By supporting individual passions and company-wide priorities, as well as regularly seeking employee feedback, Jackson continues to evolve its programs in ways that reflect associate interests and community needs.
Measurable Impact in Communities
Jackson’s commitment to service is reflected in its tangible impact. In 2025:
- 52% of associates participated in the employee volunteer program
- Associates contributed more than 20,000 volunteer hours in local communities
- 88 associates served on nonprofit boards
The company focuses on building long term partnerships with nonprofits aligned with its mission to help people achieve financial freedom for life.
In December 2025, Jackson partnered with Hands On powered by United Way of Greater Nashville to host a group service project during an Enterprise Marketing and Communications Department town hall. Associates assembled 300 creative holiday kits for elementary school students and 100 winter care packages for older adults, turning a company meeting into a meaningful hands-on service experience.
More recently, Jackson associates supported Hands On’s volunteer mobilization efforts following Winter Storm Fern. On March 20, volunteers assisted six vulnerable neighbors with storm debris cleanup, helping individuals who were older, physically unable to manage cleanup, or unable to afford debris removal. These efforts provided immediate relief while reinforcing the importance of community resilience.
