what we do
United Way of Greater Nashville breaks poverty cycles, offers equal opportunities for kids, and helps individuals and families meet essential needs across nine Middle Tennessee counties.
To achieve this mission our work falls into four focus areas.
Together, along with 100+ funded partner agencies, and in collaboration with 128 additional organizations, we helped
Preschool children receive books in their homes to build crucial early literacy skills
People get connected to higher earning jobs to better make ends meet
Families move into stable housing with help from The Family Collective
Neighbors had their medical needs met to address a health specific emergency or crisis situation
Meals get served to people in need to reduce their food insecurity
