Meet Heather Hill: Enthusiastic. Confident. Team Player.
Heather has had an interesting journey with United Way. She joined the organization back in 2005. After three years, she took time away from the workplace to care for her kids and then found her way back to the United Way team in 2019. “Best decision ever!” Heather says.
Since 2019, she has fostered community awareness and increased funding for the work of United Way. Heather says the best part of her job is “being able to see firsthand where the community investment dollars go and the impact EVERY dollar makes to help meet the needs of our neighbors.”
More than 200 local corporations, nonprofits and government organizations support the United Way mission by running a workplace giving campaign. Heather plays an integral role in workplace engagement by building relationships with investors, corporate partners, advocates and volunteers.
As our Senior Manager, Workplace Engagement, Heather connects our corporate partners with our community’s most pressing needs. “It’s truly been eye opening to see the immediate needs that hundreds of people do not see,” she says. “Hearing the stories, seeing the impact has definitely helped me become more aware.”
Heather extends her awareness and compassion beyond the workplace. “I have the privilege to show my children the importance of serving others.”
As 2021 moves forward, Heather awaits being with the friends and loved ones she hasn’t seen since the start of the pandemic. She looks forward to safely gathering with those who have helped her become the woman she is today. “I am most proud of the many people and experiences that have shaped who I am and what I believe.”
