Hands On, a program of United Way of Greater Nashville, is actively monitoring the current situation and coordinating with local partners to assess community needs.
At this time, emergency responders which include local utilities, municipalities and first responders are addressing immediate concerns. Hands On is focused on gathering accurate information and preparing to support recovery efforts once it is safe to do so.
“We are committed to standing with our community through this moment,” said Lori Shinton, Chief Growth Officer of United Way Greater Nashville. “Our priority is ensuring help reaches those who need it most, at the right time and in the right way. We encourage residents to rely on official guidance and allow responders to do their critical work.”
As needs are identified, we will share information on how individuals and organizations can help in meaningful, coordinated ways through hon.org. Community members in need of assistance are encouraged to call 2-1-1 for available resources and support.
Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
