Preventing Unsafe Drug Use
You might be wondering—what exactly is harm reduction? Essentially, it’s a set of practical strategies and ideas that reduces the negative consequences of drug use.
Harm reduction refers to policies, programs and practices that aim to minimize negative health, social and legal impacts associated with drug use, drug policies and drug laws. Example services include: Substance Use Disorder treatment, naloxone, unused needles, etc.
Together with our partners, we are part of a movement that believes in and respects the rights of people who use drugs. If you use drugs (or love someone who does), we hope you’ll use the below resources to support safer drug use in your community.
