United Way of Metropolitan Nashville Announces Staff Promotions, 2019 Board of Trustees

Feb. 22, 2019, NASHVILLE, Tenn. — United Way of Metropolitan Nashville welcomes Gordon Knapp of Bridgestone Americas as 2019 Board chairman, along with the following as new members of the 2019 Board of Trustees:

  • Tim Adams, CEO, Ascension & Saint Thomas Health
  • Jim Gingrich, COO, Alliance Bernstein
  • Scott Pohlman, Market President, SunTrust Bank
  • Kevin Rome, PhD, President, Fisk University

We also extend a sincere thank-you to our 2018 outgoing board members for their service:

  • Margaret Dolan, Launch Tennessee
  • David Freeman, 36 Venture Capital
  • Kate Herman, Nashville Business Journal

United Way is also pleased to announce eight staff promotions in the areas of Workplace Engagement, Community Impact and Finance. The following team members received promotions at the start of 2019:

  • Leslie Watt, Director, Community Impact – Education
  • Celeste Wilson, Senior Director, Major Gifts
