Making an Impact: Cheatham County

Cheatham County, located northwest of Nashville, is a vibrant community that blends small-town charm with rich natural beauty. Known for its scenic landscapes, including the Cumberland River and expansive parks, Cheatham County offers a peaceful yet thriving environment for residents and businesses alike. The Family Collective
Kids who experience homelessness face many obstacles to reaching their potential, like lack of resources, frequent school changes, loss of school records and emotional stress. That’s why The Family Collective is preventing and ending family homelessness by connecting families to sustainable opportunities and disrupting cycles of poverty.

Raise Your Hand
Volunteer tutors work in Cheatham County Schools to help first- through fourth-grade students struggling with reading and math.

Funded Partners

Our Community Impact Funding process mobilizes resources to provide results-oriented funding to 34 nonprofit agencies serving Cheatham County. Funding recommendations are made by a dedicated group of community volunteers and are approved by our board of trustees. In 2023, we put $164,421 back into Cheatham County through our Community Impact Funding, along with an additional $21,980 in Raise Your Hand funding.
