Together, we help ease the burden caused by this disaster and provided much-needed support for our most vulnerable neighbors.
United Way of Greater Nashville’s network is uniquely positioned to provide on-the-ground disaster response, including raising funds, mobilizing volunteers and engaging local partners to ensure community stability.

Hands On Disaster Volunteers
Volunteer help is essential to rebuilding our communities, and we are grateful for the outpouring of support. There’s a variety of opportunities and locations for anyone to provide assistance. Volunteers will need to first register on HON’s website before arriving at a service area. Once signed up, you will receive information about where to go.
Winter Storm Recovery Fund
The Winter Storm Recovery Fund – a partnership between the UWGN, the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, and Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) – was established to support our ongoing commitment to helping households most affected by the January winter storm. Please support the ongoing recovery efforts for families throughout our area by donating to the Winter Storm Recovery Fund.
In response to Winter Storm Fern, UWGN has issued total funding of $1,790,340 as of 3/25/26. The listing of recovery partners and funding distribution will be updated weekly. Work is continuing with the recovery groups to assist community members still in need.
$1,077,185.16 in VOAD Needs Tracker financial assistance has been deployed to assist 1792 families as of April 2, 2026.
