We are pleased to introduce the seven individuals who were recently elected to United Way of Greater Nashville’s Board of Trustees. We appreciate their commitment to the Greater Nashville community and willingness to help foster United Way’s mission.

Help us welcome our new board members!

Paolo Ferrari
Paolo was named President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in January 2020. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Bridgestone Americas, and as Executive Vice President and Executive Officer of Bridgestone Corporation. In 2016, Ferrari joined Bridgestone as CEO and President of Bridgestone Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA) as a result of his global exposure, multi-industry business development expertise and deep understanding of the American market. As President, CEO and COO, Ferrari leads the growth strategy for Bridgestone in the Americas with a focus on helping achieve the company’s vision to be a leader in mobility and solutions.

Rev. Robert Gardenhire
Rev. Gardenhire has served as the Senior Minister of Schrader Lane Church of Christ since June 2015. He retired as Director of Logistics & President of Bridgestone Fleet Operations LLC in 2015, where he oversaw 1,500 teammates and on-site contractors with annual budget of over $350,000,000.

Richard Manson
Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Richard is an attorney and corporate leader who builds and brokers relationships to create profitable, lasting and mutually beneficial business partnerships. As a champion and driver, he is a senior executive in the healthcare industry where he delivers value, and beneficial results to his clients, customers and suppliers through collaborative and leveraged relationships. Richard is president of Manson, Johnson and Corner, and has served as General Counsel and Member of the Board of Directors for Citizens Savings Bank & Trust Company, operating on the Audit Committee, and advising the institution on contract negotiations, granting of loans, and commercial development and real estate matters.

Junaid Odubeko
Junaid is a Bradley 150 litigator whose practice focuses on advising and representing clients in complex commercial and business disputes and real estate litigation. Prior to joining Bradley, Junaid served as legal counsel and deputy legal counsel to Gov. Phil Bredesen, serving as the governor’s liaison to the Tennessee Attorney General and each state agency. A native of Memphis, he is a 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee – Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He received his J.D. in 2004 from Vanderbilt University Law School.

Doug Rohleder
Doug relocated back to EY’s Nashville office in late 2017 where he had previously spent 16 years as an assurance partner. Doug assumed the Nashville Office Managing Partner role in July 2018. He works in an energetic, enthusiastic and collaborative manner with clients to ensure timely, transparent communication, risk minimization, issue resolution, and to ensure the depth and breadth of the global EY firm is made available to address a client’s business challenges. Doug has been actively involved in leadership roles on the boards and committees of various organizations in Atlanta and Nashville, including The Red Cross and Junior Achievement.

Brian Tibbs
Brian has been with the architecture firm Moody Nolan for 23 years. He was recently appointed to be the Managing Partner of the firm and leads the Nashville office. He has led several projects for the firm throughout the country and was the Nashville project manager for the Music City Center architectural design team. He was the Sr. Project Manager for the Meharry Medical College Turner Campus Center project. He is the Moody Nolan Principal in Charge for the Jacob Javits Convention Center expansion and the new Boston Convention Center hotel that is presently under in construction. Brian—a Huntsville native—resides in Nashville with his wife, Felicia, and their son, Ian.

Stephenie Whitfield
Stephenie is the Market Manager for the Nashville, Tennessee Business Banking team at Bank of America.  In this role, she leads a team of Relationship Managers (RMs), managing the delivery of a world class client experience by providing the entire suite of banking capabilities to US based companies with revenues from $5 million to $50 million. Stephenie relocated to Nashville in the summer of 2019 when she was named Business Banking Market Manager.  Currently, her focus is on ROI– relentless ongoing improvement for her team – in terms of client experience, and bank partner engagement. Stephenie and her husband, Mark, have a bustling blended family with four children ages 15 to 19 and a Black Labrador Retriever.
