Long-Term Recovery Group to be Introduced to Community
United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region (UWGCR) will hold their 2024 United Way Annual Meeting event on May 30, 2024, at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
Held annually for the benefit of 23 local nonprofit partner agencies and over 30 programs supported by United Way, the event serves as a chance to recognize last year’s top campaigns and contributors.
UWGCR merged in early 2023 with United Way of Greater Nashville and this year’s event will incorporate leadership and combined impact of both organizations.
Due to the December 2023 tornadoes that wreaked havoc on the community, a new long-term recovery group for Clarksville-Montgomery County was formed and will be introduced at the annual meeting.
Representatives from partner agencies will also be there to meet attendees and share impact stories on how workplace giving campaigns have supported their ability to serve the most critical needs of families and individuals in the community.
