United Way Receives $150,000 in Kitchenware from Electrolux

Electrolux and United Way of Greater Nashville teamed up to stock kitchens with hope throughout Robertson County for the holiday season.

Through Electrolux’s “Stocking Kitchens With Hope” holiday campaign, the Electrolux Springfield Cooking Manufacturing Facility gave away 7,300 pieces, valued at $150,000, of kitchenware ranging from pots, pans and bakeware to cooking utensils to United Way’s Robertson County office.

“We are deeply committed to giving back in the communities where our employees live and work, so it is meaningful knowing the impact these gifts will have throughout our region,” said Nolan Pike, head of Electrolux North America. “We are grateful for the opportunity to support individuals and families in need.”

United Way used donated utensils for its Give Thanks Day of Action and co-hosted a free pop-up shopping event Nov. 23 for seven Robertson County nonprofit agencies. The Robertson County Family Resource Center, H.A.T.S, Inc., Master’s Table, Recovery Community Inc., Robertson County Recovery Court, UT Extension and Willow Oaks Center for Arts & Learning had the opportunity to safely shop for kitchenware at no charge to give to the families and individuals they serve and for use in their educational programs. Representatives with Electrolux and United Way of Greater Nashville and area leaders participated in and assisted at the event.

“We are honored and humbled to have the support of Electrolux here in Robertson County,” said Brian Hassett, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Nashville. “It’s always so amazing to see the business community step up and support families in our community—especially in the wake of a pandemic.”
