Reno is HCA Healthcare’s manager of community engagement. Long before he was there—before foundations and social responsibility departments were established—employees would pool their money together to help their colleagues in need. “Everyone would put what they could in a pot and say ‘go take care of your family,’ ” he says. “It’s a place where you join the company and you start to see the good work that they do, and you want to be a part of that. For me, that was just a no-brainer. I’ve always been the kind of person that wants to make things better for the people coming behind me, and HCA Healthcare is just a company that has the bandwidth, the bench strength to really make that dream and vision a reality.”
