“United Way is so near and dear to my heart because they’re the master convener of good things.”
Sandra served at HCA Healthcare for 13 years before retiring in June 2021. In 2008, Sandra moved from her role at Pfizer in Manhattan to lead the national sales team at HCA Healthcare. She said she had always worked closely with United Way when she was at Pfizer, but her relationship took on a whole new meaning when she joined the HCA team.

“Giving to United Way is a great way to make sure that any money that I donate is used as wisely as possible. Whatever I give, it’s amplified by United Way. If you like that kind of collaboration, leverage and scale, and you want to give to an organization that knows how to bring everyone together in the community, then you want to give to United Way.”

She says joining the Tocqueville Society was a huge honor.

“Our founder of HCA Healthcare, Dr. Tommy Frist, was also a founder of the Tocqueville Society. I first heard about Tocqueville because of Dr. Frist. I wasn’t in Tocqueville when I was in New York. It’s just a great way to make sure that any money that I donate is used as wisely as possible. I get to give more than I can actually give myself.”
