VITA offers free tax preparation to households that made less than $84,000 in 2025 at our in-person or drop-off locations. Below is a complete list of VITA sites. This list includes the name of the agency, address, and hours of each location. Under specific locations, you can make an appointment by clicking “Book Appointment” or calling the 211 Helpline.

Virtual Tax Site: Visit GetYourRefund.org for a free, secure, and easy to file with an IRS-certified tax preparer. GetYourRefund.org is open from January 31 and the income limit is $84,000. You will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer and internet access. The Get Your Refund portal is made possible by partnerships with Code for America and GetYourRefund.org.
Self-Serve Tax Site: You can also file your own taxes at myfreetaxes.com. Income limit of $89,000 per household.
Attention Taxpayers: Please expect significant delays of up to 10+ weeks to receive your refund if you request a paper check. Click here to learn about Bank On, a low-fee and no-fee Banking Resource.
Mobile apps may also be an option. Some mobile apps and prepaid debit cards allow for direct deposit of tax refunds. They must have routing and account numbers associated with them that can be entered on a tax return. Taxpayers should check with the mobile app provider or financial institution to confirm which numbers to use.
